Carole A. Martin

Schenectady – Carole A. Martin, 83, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter at her side on August 21, 2024.

She was born in Plattsburgh on August 24, 1940 to Richard and Kathryn (Zukas) Phaneaf; she grew up in Schenectady, a Burnt Hills graduate.

In 1960 Carole married the late Michael J. Martin, and were married for 52 years.

She worked side by side in their family-owned restaurants Michael’s Pizza and Spaghetti House in Ballston Spa, Michael’s Shady Lane in Glenville and Michael’s Pizza also in Glenville.

She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards with her friends she also was a great bowler.

Carole is survived by her daughter Michelle Martin Gagnon of Schenectady and Joanne Patterson of Texas; she is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At her request, services will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
