Ellen R. Hornberger

Ellen Hornberger, 92, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center.  Ellen was predeceased by her parents Mary and Raymond Keenholts, her husband of fifty years Howard D. Hornberger, and her sister Mary Lou.  She is survived by her three children, Carol, Jean, and Eric.

Ellen was a graduate of St. Agnes School (now known as Doane Stuart).  She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Mathematics from St. Lawrence University.

Ellen was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church where she served in numerous capacities and made many enduring friendships.

Respecting Ellen’s wishes, a private graveside service was held for her immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 811 North Brandywine Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12308 or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
