Mark L. Van Buskirk, 61, of Waverly Place, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born on February 22, 1963, he was the son of Anthony and Marilyn (Thomas) Van Buskirk.

Mark was a graduate of BOCES and attended ARC in Scotia.

He was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed horseback riding, boating, fishing, and miniature golf.

His father Anthony Van Buskirk pre-deceased him.

Survivors include his mother Marilyn Van Buskirk of Niskayuna; his brother Peter (Ellen) Van Buskirk and his sister Martha (Floyd) Simone of Rexford; nieces and nephews: Mia (Kennon) Otey, Angelo (Marcy) Simone, Nathaniel (Allison) Van Buskirk and Nicholas (Samantha) Van Buskirk; three grand nieces and nephews: Leonardo and Elliana Otey and Calvin Van Buskirk.

Calling hours will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday August 4 and from 10:00am to 11:00am Monday Aug 5 prior to the service at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will follow at Vale Cemetery in Schenectady.
